2011 Regular Season Champions of the OVL

*ATTENTION OILERS FANS: The Owensboro Oilers announce that
the 2011 field manager, Coach Steve Fowler, will not be returning to manage the
Oilers in 2012. Coach Fowler had the opportunity to become a member of a group
acquiring the Tradewater Pirates franchise. His experience and leadership will
be an important factor in transitioning that franchise to one of a few locations
very interested in having an OVL team. The Oilers organization, with
appreciation for his contributions to our 2011 Championship, recognizes the
personal and practical value of this opportunity for Coach Fowler. We wish him
the very best at it. When we meet again competitively we're sure of getting and
getting nothing less.
*The 150th win in current
Owensboro Oiler franchise history was the 8 to 6 victory over the Marion Bobcats on
July 25, 2011.
