The Velvet Bombers Still On To Close Home Season With A Delayed Bang

The post-game concert by the Velvet Bombers -- rained out on July 4th -- has been re-scheduled for our last regular season home game on July 25th, 2009. Come for the baseball, stay for the band!

    Oilers Make KIT League All-Star Team

Even though the KIT League has no All-Star opponent this year, Commissioner Randy Morgan and the six field managers have named a KIT League All-Star team to call attention to outstanding play this season. The Owensboro Oilers selected as 2009 KIT League All-Stars are: Mike Finigan at shortstop; Haskell Fink at catcher; and Cody Pack in the outfield. All-Star honorable mention selections include Jon Hedges in the infield, and Nathan Humphrey on the mound as a starting pitcher. Congratulations guys!
